OMRSCCA Regional Solo2 Event #5
Sunday, August 8th, 2010
Crowder Truck Driving School
Neosho, Missouri [Map]

Ozark Mountain Region SCCA invites you to join us on 375,000 square feet of smooth, unobstructed asphalt at the Crowder College Truck Driving School in Neosho, Missouri. 8)

Register Online!
[Click for online registration powered by MotorsportReg]
Note: 2010 events will use online registration via MotorsportReg. Additional registration instructions here.

Event Information Car Numbers and Classes
Car Numbers are exclusive for the 2010 season, meaning only one person is allowed to run a number during the entire year no matter what class you are in (e.g. Car number 76 Matt L in ST, you would not be able to use 76 even if you ran a different class). During pre-registration if a # is not shown when it is time to pick your car # then it is already in use this year.

Amenities
There are gas stations, WalMart, and fast food on Highway 59 about a mile North of the intersection of MO-D. There is no air available at the site, so prepare accordingly. We anticipate making lunch available on-site.

Directions from Springfield
Take I-44 to US 71 South, and exit at Highway 60 Neosho/Seneca. Go East to the light at US 59/71B (WalMart will be on your right). Turn right to go South on 59, and follow the signs for Crowder College and Highway MO-D. Turn left onto MO-D, and it will take you straight to Crowder College. Once you reach the stop sign at the entrance of Crowder, turn right onto Doniphan and head towards the windmill. Turn left just past the windmill, and follow the SCCA signs and cones to the site.

Run / Work
If we have over 80 entrants, we will go to a three-heat format based on a first-come, first-served basis:

Work heat 1 / Drive heat 3
Work heat 2 / Drive heat 1
Work heat 3 / Drive heat 2

Work assignments will be balanced to ensure even work coverage for all stations in all heats. If you show up at the last minute, your choice may be full. If you show up late, you will not be able to participate at all!

See you there!

Cool. This should be fun. It will be an active month for OMR events, good practice for anyone attending either Solo Nationals or the RallyCross National Championships.

We're one week away from the close of registration for the next autocross.

Kick the tires, light the fires, and such.

We're bringing the vette up I think. Last real shakedown before nationals. We've got a 2 day at WM and we'll run it one of those days.

I wanna go to the MiDiv in Lincoln on 28-29, but Chris will be pursuing other racing endeavours...

Looks like a friend of mine and I will be co-driving his Focus SVT. Two stupid questions. 1. What class for this fine machine? 2. How does co-driving work?

H-Stock. (HS)

Co-driving, you can do one of two ways: One person drives one heat, the other the next. OR, you can both drive the same heat, swapping numbers and drivers between runs. Usually all the 2-driver cars are gridded "up high" so that Driver #1 of all those cars gets their run, then the first-half of the 1-Driver cars; then Driver #2 of those cars, and finishing-out the other half of the 1-Driver cars, and back to the beginning.

Sometimes (at say the Regional-level), if someone is in a hard-to-get-in-and-out-of car (like an open-wheel or heavily-caged Mod car); one driver will take all their runs, then the other will strap-in and finish-out the heat. OR if they've got some physical problem that makes it extremely hard to swap back-and-forth rapidly-enough to keep from holding-up the grid (such as one of the Drivers having recent knee-surgury, or the like).

Thanks for the info Scott. See you Sunday. You won't be able to miss his Focus, it's Taxi cab yellow.

Then we shall compete Craig! I will be running H Stock in a 2010 Toyota Corolla XRS! This all depends on how I do at the bracket race at Mokan on Saturday night. Celebration or disapointment could get the best of me.

I've got some extra "1" magnets I'll bring if you want to use them.

It makes it easier by just throwing on/taking off a single magnet between runs.

I've ordered some magnets from a local sign shop, hopefully I'll have them in time. If not I'll take you up on that.
