A large tornado drove straight through central Joplin, and we have a number of members in the area.
Cel coverage and power may be spotty. If you are local and can safely contact other members, please do and let us know.
There's a Facebook page with Joplin recovery bulletins:

I just referenced all the Joplin-area addresses in the OMR membership file, and it doesn't look like anyone's home was in the direct path of the tornado.
However, this was a very wide tornado (at least F4), so the potential for damage was huge. Reports say it tracked roughly West-East along 20th Street.
If you are in the area and can get to a computer, keep us posted.
OMR's Joplin Members

OMR's Joplin area members are:
Dorothy Buhr on Valleyview Dr.
Craig Chandler family on Arbor Ct
Robt Mike Daniels on west Hwy 86
Justin Blake Miller on Arizona Ave
Jason Mulkey in Webb City
John Powell on Malaura Ln
Kyle Seaman on E. 41st St
Robt Sayre Shilkett on north Pearl Ave
Mark Stephens on E. 41st St
Dan Wimer on north Main
Perhaps someone familiar with the geography of Joplin can tell us if those neighborhoods were in the path of destruction.
We also need to be concerned about our members in the Clever, MO area.

We are okay in Clever. Our thoughts and prayers are with our friends in Joplin.

Good to know Jim. I've been thinking about this since last night.

Thank you for following up, guys. We were concerned about Justin because of his home's proximity to the tornado path. Good that he's all right.
I'd like to know more about where he is currently staying, and any immediate needs. Sayre, what can we do to help?
I've already secured the June 26th Solo as a charity event, and right now we're looking for ways as a club to raise awareness and relief funds within the enthusiast community. A charity raffle, possibly. Anything is on the table, so I encourage anyone with a connection or idea to send it our way.
