Nov 1 Board Meeting - NEW Location, Election Nominations

Post by SilverYota » Tue Oct 25, 2011 9:06 pm

We have a new location, Fox and Hound in Springfield.

The monthly OMRSCCA Board of Directors meeting is every first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM. They're a casual open meeting for members and non-members alike, and everyone is welcome to hear and be heard. Have a burger, talk club business, and bench race until you want to go home.

When
Tuesday, November 1st, 7:00 PM

Where
Fox and the Hound (pub/bar/restaurant)
2035 East Independence Street, Springfield
[Google Maps]

Take the Glenstone Exit off of the James River Freeway and head North. Turn left at Independence then Fox and Hound is in a shopping center on the right in front of the Supercenter.

Election Nominations

As Assistant RE, I will be coordinating the election over the next couple of club meetings. If you want to participate in the club, this is a great way to be a part of it. We'll be taking nominations for those who want to be on the board for 2012.

If you haven't attended an OMR meeting, come on out. If nothing else, you can see how it works. We're fortunate to have a group that is very social and like-minded, and pretty good at bench racing. You'll want to see the new meeting spot, right?

I am not going to seek reelection, so there is guaranteed to be a new spot for a new (or at least familiar) face. Sign of bad times? Absolutely not. There has been so much more interest in the club over the last few years that this is a great time for me to take a little time off my leadership duties and tackle what's shaping up to be a heavy-duty year at work and fixing up my house.

I hope we have a great turnout at this meeting. 8)
