Confirmation of our site at the Lebanon Speedway (same place we've used before, south/slightly east of lebanon) for sunday 7/14.

between weather and venue we've had a rough start this year. finally a little rallyX for the faithful.

low turnout has threatened a couple of our previous events--let's make sure that doesn't happen this time.

come on out and play in the dirt.

There's a Kansas City Region RallyCross on Saturday. I'm going to that one, too, and thinking of just overnighting in Lebanon. Anyone else want to go in on a room?

Hitting the road for KC tomorrow. See everyone in Lebanon. 8)

The weather shows highs in the upper 80s with a light wind for Sunday. Not bad for the middle of July.

Micah was ON today - he made it look Easy! Very smooth driving!

Sam looked pretty good too - although I didn't get to see more than maybe two runs of his; it was a close battle it appears.

And Holy Carp - did Jeanie edge out BOTH of the Granthams? And only 6.5 seconds (in 10 runs!) off of the next position!

Folks, this Woman can only see anything through her Right Eye - no light, no NOTHING in her Left - and in the morning session could not see the exit to the Left-hand "turn around" at the far end of the course at all. She just had me help direct her line the first two runs on where to position the car, and then after that it was her just pointing it in the direction she wanted, and then total Faith that the car would go where it needed to....

(BTW I'm just now seeing all of the results for the first time, did not know even who won what, or how much, other than that Micah got FTD)

If you didn't come for whatever reason other than "I was on my Deathbed" or "I was busy being stationed in lower Krhapzanhistan with the XXVIth Roman Legion", lemme tellya - YOU MISSED OUT.

Micah was "on." That was apparent from watching.

Good event.

The surface was one of the best I've ever run on. As RallyCross goes, it was pretty smooth and grippy. Midway Speedway was fun before, but the grooming and rut in-fills since our last visit were excellent. You just don't see that kind of attention to earth works at many other RallyCross sites. Our course flexibility gets better every time we visit.

We have a great group of participants and volunteers. Let the secret get out.

Jim,
I have been trying. Jack Jones, Midway's owner, posted a pic on FB and several people commented on interest. I posted the rulebook, videos and autox stuff as well. Doing what I can to get the counts up. :)

As for me, if a fulltime job that pays more than 8/hr I will be back. I almost came on down to watch and help but knew that would be very hard to not run.
