Additional MotorsportReg instructions and details here. Please pre-register online to save time on the day of the event.

Event Information Car Numbers and Classes
Car Numbers are exclusive for this season, meaning only one person is allowed to run a number during the entire year no matter what class you are in (e.g. Car number 76 Matt L in STC, you would not be able to use 76 even if you ran a different class). During pre-registration, if a number is not shown when it is time to choose, then it is already in use this year.

Amenities
There are gas stations, WalMart, and fast food on Highway 59 about a mile North of the intersection of MO-D. There is no air available at the site, so prepare accordingly. Our friends at the Crowder College Trucking School usually grill lunch on-site at modest cost.

Directions from Springfield
Take I-44 to US 71 South, and exit at Highway 60 Neosho/Seneca. Go East to the light at US 59/71B (WalMart will be on your right). Turn right to go South on 59, and follow the signs for Crowder College and Highway MO-D. Turn left onto MO-D, and it will take you straight to Crowder College. Once you reach the stop sign at the entrance of Crowder, turn right onto Doniphan and head towards the windmill. Turn left onto National Guard Drive just past the windmill, and follow the SCCA signs and cones to the site.

Run / Work
Typically, half of the classes run in one heat, while other other half help work the event. Then we switch after lunch. Work assignments will be balanced to ensure even work coverage for all stations in all heats. If you show up late to the event or late to your work assignment, you may not be allowed to participate.

If we have over 80 entrants, we will go to a three-heat format:
  • Work heat 1 / Drive heat 3
  • Work heat 2 / Drive heat 1
  • Work heat 3 / Drive heat 2
Crowder College has asked us to sign a waiver at every event in addition to the normal SCCA waiver. If you have access to a printer, please print and fill out a copy in advance so you don't have to stand around filling one out at the gate to the site.

Korry, if you will design the course, I would be willing to put it together after the Novice School. That is, if the plan is not to use a modification of the "Novice Course".

I'm not involved in the school at all but I'd be surprised if that wasn't the plan.

Happy to help any way I can though. I'm just about done with the MidDiv course. :D

Just thinking out loud....

Could you work it the other way. Design Sundays course then remove parts for the school. That way Sundays course will still flow.

Not to be a rules dork..... You might run it backwards in the school too or make changes to elements. Competitors can't Pre-run parts of the Sunday course. This includes passengers. :? The last fast track even clarified that people with disabilities can't preview courses faster than walking pace in their carts/bikes/etc.

Aren't you glad I'm back :D

Today was a "back to school" course. So far all the courses on the big lot since we returned have been relatively speedy momentum maintenance style affairs like you see at a lot of upper-level Solo. Those are my favorites, but a few people have told me that they liked the technical stuff, too. Since all of the neighboring SCCA regions were also holding events today, this seemed like the right time in the season to throw one in the mix. Slightly lower turnout, more course distance, more driver input density, slightly lower speeds.

This was an exercise in patience and car placement. There was a lot of choice in how you drove it, but it could bite if you got behind the car anywhere at all. This was our follow-up to the school yesterday, so it had a lot of textbook elements like slaloms, offsets, and a couple of simple sweepers. Those parts were originally intended to be run backward as isolated practice stations at the school.

If you miss the pucker-factor corner entries and gates, I imagine those will be back at the MiDiv two-dayer next month.

Results have been posted.

I also second what JimR said, it was a good change of pace to do a completly different style of course than we are use to. I wish he could have run today since he was there @ 6am setting up the course for the rest of us, thank you Jim.

Results have been pulled down, we have at least one error that kept someone from getting there fast time of the day. I'm at work now so we won't be able to straighten this out till this evening.

I am guessing the issue is just the last 3 or so cars in the first heat when the re-runs were made.

Confirmation has been made with the back up sheets and we appear to have the Results corrected. It was just an issue with the re-runs from the first heat so Sam, Mark, and Matt you now have your correct fast times.

I'm slightly confused, not really sure what that bright ball is that keeps causing glare in your vidoes? It appears to be getting very close to the horizon as you progress through your last few runs. I checked your videos from the #8 event in 2013 and it appears that it might be above the cameras field of view.
