Auto Cross is a Time Trial type of Competition. One car goes against the clock against other cars in its class. We set up cones in an road race style course with Slolams, Hair Pins, Straights, Braking Thresholds, and Skid Pads. Runs Usually last 39-65 seconds depending on the course allowing 4-6 runs per driver per day. The course is different every time and new course designs or designers are always welcome. No special cars needed, simply pass tech, grab a helmet and find the limits of yourself, your car & your tires.

The Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) is a Car Club that gets gatherings of gear heads of all types involved in many types of motorsports... Road Racing, Rally, Autocross, Hill Climbs, Track Days, Etc ... and the Ozark Mountain Region (OMR) is a local group of gear heads that make it possible for us to have events locally !

... one more for good measure!

Did we figure out what is wrong with the timing equipment?

Also, unless we have another bag, I think we're out of flour.

Course?

J sent it in for repairs but your guess is better than mine.

If Jim is asking for marking flour then I bet the course is wicked. LOL

I bet you are looking at Jimster. ;)

ps: Tis a shame, but I am surrendering the FSP point race and this weekend's AX so my wrist can get healed before the Nationals in Topeka. WTG Chris ! Well ran. I really enjoyed this season !

IF I go back to work and/or they don't get rid of me I am scheduled for work that Saturday, thus there are no more make up days.

You win bud !!! Accept it. :D
It was a very excellent season until my job screwed it all up.
I am still planning on laying the smack down on you at Nationals so keep the grips on that new steering wheel warm buddy.

Having a SSS proved to be the most difficult piece. Sam saved the event for us.

Joe and his crew were a help boxing all the cones. We tore down the course and packed up pretty quickly, too.

OMR is a small region, and every bit of help doing something, small or big, helps the event run better.

Yes getting that SSS school is getting to be something extremely necessary.

Of course, timing lights would be better too.

Good job all. Hope you all had a blast.

I 2nd Jim for OMR Solo Manager. Jonathan needs time away.

I don't think you guys want someone who wouldn't be able to attend any OMR meetings.

Solo Manager is a job that could be done by multiple people. The event chairperson from month to month doesn't have to be the same person, either.

Someone familiar with the position could come up with a logical division of responsibilities, and people could do small parts instead of one person do one big job.

The more people who step up, the better.
