Auto Cross is a Time Trial type of Competition. One car goes against the clock against other cars in its class. We set up cones in an road race style course with Slolams, Hair Pins, Straights, Braking Thresholds, and Skid Pads. Runs Usually last 39-65 seconds depending on the course allowing 4-6 runs per driver per day. The course is different every time and new course designs or designers are always welcome. No special cars needed, simply pass tech, grab a helmet and find the limits of yourself, your car & your tires.

The Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) is a Car Club that gets gatherings of gear heads of all types involved in many types of motorsports... Road Racing, Rally, Autocross, Hill Climbs, Track Days, Etc ... and the Ozark Mountain Region (OMR) is a local group of gear heads that make it possible for us to have events locally !

... one more for good measure!

Results are in...

I had to take the results down. Heat one has quite a few screwed up times. SilverYota pointed out the '05 Focus (first time participant) leading HS. That's not to say it couldn't happen. In any case I started inspecting heat one times with the hard copy and there are discrepancies...

Don, I like you, but I think we're going to have to find a different job for you...

wth happened? I know number 33 was jacked because some guy put the wrong number on his car, but that was fixed after the 3rd run. I think 33 was the red ford focus, and number 30 (who was also 33 for 3 runs) was CSP 30, a silver miata.

Other than that, every time I double checked the hard copy as we were writing them down, the numbers matched up. The issue above was the only one I know if (I told you about that in the trailer, and didn't know how to fix it).

It's ok, I can work waiver station lol

The Focus SVT you mentioned was the only problem thinking back. He was number 33, which CSP 30, the silver miata, also put 33 on his car in error.

Hope that helps.

HS 33 had two incorrect times.
CSP 30 only had 3 times recorded and his last three were recorded as the first three in the software.
FS 27 had his rerun time screwed up and someone else got it, I can't remember who.

It was much easier to correct this time since just about everyone had six runs so it was a matter of manually entering their time and I just added two runs for CSP 30 at the end of the data.

Mr. Longpine & I take exception to CivicSiGuy's comment about the waiver station, as we've toiled at that thankless assignment for the last three events. CivicSiGuy's inference is that the waiver station is of much less importance than registration. In fact, making sure that liability waivers are signed and minor forms are filled out is extremely important.

I'd recommend that we create a new worker classification for CivicSiGuy: Chief of Ice Purchasing & Cone Marking. We should probably plan a training session for him though...

I agree. There were a few things I was even pointing out to Scott.

I can give a training session next weekend when we are all together at the divisional if you'd like or at a future MoEuro meet. I don't think Scott and I will be at this next one due to the event in St. Louis but after that...

My previous post was meant to be humorous. Had to get my pokes in since CivicSiGuy had a better raw score...
