KANSAS CITY CHAMPIONSHIPS Pre-Registration Instructions
Pre-registration for the KANSAS CITY CHAMPIONSHIPS on October 4th & 5th is now open. Pre-registration closes at 12:01am Wednesday October 1st. Walk-up registration will be open each day of the event until 9:30am. Walk-up registrations ARE NOT eligible for the Championship awards. This event will be held in Lot L of the Truman Sports Complex (Kauffman/Arrowhead Stadiums).
WHAT IS THE KANSAS CITY CHAMPIONSHIP?
The Kansas City Championship is a fun two-day event open to all local autocrossers. Similar to a Divisional or National level event, drivers will compete over two days and combine their best runs from each day to see who wins. Awards will be presented immediately following Sunday's competition.
SPECIAL NOTES
-ONLY pre-registered competitors ARE ELIGIBLE for awards.
-Walk-up registration competitors ARE NOT ELIGIBLE for awards.
-Sunday October 5th will count towards Kansas City Region SCCA's points championship.
ENTRY FEES
2-day fee: $55
1-day fee: $30
SCCA Weekend Membership: $5
If you're not an SCCA member, it will cost an extra $5 to purchase the weekend membership required by the SCCA's National Office. So the total cost for a non-SCCA member is $60 for 2-days, $35 for a single day.
EVENT STRUCTURE
There will be 3 heats.
Each heat will consist of four timed runs per driver.
Drivers will be assigned to run/work heats based on class.
The Run/Work order will be released on Wednesday October 1st.
EXAMPLE EVENT SCHEDULE
7:00 - Set-up Crew Arrives
7:30 - Registration Opens
9:00 - Heat 1 cars need to be assembling in grid. Heat 0 Tech Inspector starts work.
9:30 - Registration Closes
10:00 - Heat 1 FIRST CAR OFF
11:30 - Heat 2 Starts (approx)
1:00pm - Heat 3 Starts (approx)
3:00 - Sunday, Awards

INDEXED CLASSES
Indexed classes use the 2008 PAX Index to calculate results based on SCCA class. If you choose an Indexed Class you will run against all other competitors no matter what their SCCA class may be - Porsches vs. Hondas, for example. The Index acts just like a handicap in golf to try to keep the competition level.
Street Tire Class
You must use a DOT approved tire with a UTQG treadwear rating of 140 or higher. No R-Compounds. You must append "ST" to your class lettering on your car. For example, 25 ASPL ST. Please note that Street Touring cars (STS/STS2/STX/STU) are not eligible for Street Tire Class.
