Auto Cross is a Time Trial type of Competition. One car goes against the clock against other cars in its class. We set up cones in an road race style course with Slolams, Hair Pins, Straights, Braking Thresholds, and Skid Pads. Runs Usually last 39-65 seconds depending on the course allowing 4-6 runs per driver per day. The course is different every time and new course designs or designers are always welcome. No special cars needed, simply pass tech, grab a helmet and find the limits of yourself, your car & your tires.

The Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) is a Car Club that gets gatherings of gear heads of all types involved in many types of motorsports... Road Racing, Rally, Autocross, Hill Climbs, Track Days, Etc ... and the Ozark Mountain Region (OMR) is a local group of gear heads that make it possible for us to have events locally !

... one more for good measure!

Lookin' good Chris!

Also, for those of you thinking that US/MO60 might be faster... It's not. I tried. Too much other traffic that constantly slows you down. I, personally, will be sticking to nice, four lane US44.

I think 60 will be faster for me in Clever. But my right arm may be to bruised from my wife punching me for passing people to not take 44 home.

Is it me or are the people are the 417racing board, whiney bitches????

Why do I get the feeling like the people complaining about having to drive more than 5 minutes might be the same people that never show up for their work assignment?

I wish I could make this one, but it's the first bracket points event @ Mo-Kan. You have to work before you can play... :(

That's a very close observation.

It's ok. I posted on there for the people who want to do it. Sadly they usually PM me about the event instead of post it on the topic, probably due to people saying stuff about it....

People are people....

Missing a motorsports event to compete in another is a much better excuse than not wanting to drive an hour.

Anyone who would bother to look at our forums or (nicely redone) website would see that we have events at two different sites, each convenient drives on 99% four-lane highway for most people.

I've been to the Neosho site several times for planning purposes and can confidently say to anyone staying home because of distance: "Your loss!" :? Also, "Mwa-ha-ha!"

Except that it's not to compete. I work at Mo-Kan, so it's be there or not make any money...

I will take September 27th off though, it's my birthday and I want to autocross...

It's basically the same old layout and content so I can't take credit for that. But this one should be easier to maintain and has a bit more functionality.
