R&S Racing and Solo Performance Specialties Solo2 Series
Midwest Division Event #3
July 11-12, 2009
Crowder College Trucking School
Neosho, Missouri
Ozark Mountain Region SCCA invites you to the third round of the
R&S and SPS Midwest Divisional Solo2 series. We have a great new asphalt site this year at
Crowder College Trucking School in Neosho, MO, just South of Joplin. The event is conveniently located in the very center of the Midwest Division, an easy drive by four-lane highways from most areas.
Along with a range of competition, the event will feature Friday evening hospitality courtesy of
Reliable Imports of Springfield, Missouri, and a Saturday evening banquet at the historic Neosho Civic auditorium. You won't want to miss it.

We had a flurry of entries in the first week or so of registration being open, then it slowed to just a few over the weekend.
If you know you are going, please go ahead and register so that we can get closer to knowing the rough size of turn-out. You don't have to pay now. If you're not sure about going, get off the fence and come have some fun!
Over a week out, we'll need to give the caterers a headcount. The more accurate, the better.
Thanks!

As the Publisher's Clearinghouse Sweepstakes commercials used to say: "You can't Win if you don't Enter! - C'mon! Send it In!"
Then again, they never DID send me those magazines................. (Cat Fancy and Ladies Home Journal)

I have never personally been to a Divsional autocross but from what I understand from speaking with persons that have, LOCAL REGIONAL PARTICIPATION IS A MUST FOR A GOOD TURNOUT. Now they weren't saying that there wouldn't be people particapating from other areas but the main part of the attendance would usually come from the local region. Besides that all of the people out there that think there is no way they could do any good with all of the "hot shoes" coming from all over, you might just surprise yourself.
Also everyone remember you will still be scoring Ozark Mountain Region points for the weekend (your combined times from the 2 days count as placing in one event).
Hope to see as many of you that can make it out there.

I counted 77 (I believe) for this next-weekend at Salina - it's nearly doubled in the last week or so, if mem'ry serves. I'm betting there will be a "rush" on entries for Neosho just-before the late-fee cutoff.
I hope.

Up to 47 so far. I'm trying to convince some of the ARSCCA guys to attend the MiDiv instead of the SWDiv in Dallas the same W/E.
Mixed results so far.

Less than one week to register without a late fee.
About ten people from OMR are registered right now.
We had about 80 people show up the last time we were at this site. Where is everyone?

If I had only known, I could have saved us a whole mess of money by having the banquet by the funnel cake wagon.
Surprisingly, I haven't actually been to the Newton County Fairgrounds. Is this going to cause a mini-traffic jam near our site?

I think Camp Crowder is just south of the event site. I remember seeing a tank or apc on the right of the turn by the windmill. There is also a shooting range down that way. Hopefully traffic won't be a problem.

Last day to register without late fees is today (Monday)!
We have drivers from six states signed up. If you're not one of them, you're on the verge of missing out.

I think we have a doppleganger in our midst. Two John Powell's entered for Neosho, maybe one of them is the STIG? Rumor has it he once sold electrical parts and does not drive approve of AWD.

Some say he never wears a striped shirt and he definitely wasn't here earlier today.
