SCCA special offer on Blytheville Tour for FSAE

Post by budweeks » Wed Oct 21, 2009 8:47 am

I received an e-mail yesterday from Howard Duncan, SCCA Solo Director, about a special offer on the Blytheville Tour this weekend to help support the Pitt State Formula SAE team. Here it is:
1. For any OMR member that enters the Blytheville Tour, SCCA will donate $20 to the Pitt State FSAE for their 2010 program.
2. For any OMR member that lets a FSAE member compete in their car, SCCA will donate an additional $5 to the Pitt State FSAE program.
3. Any Pitt State FSAE member can enter the event for no entry fee either in the FSAE car or any other car.

I have forwarded the information to the PSU Tech Center and to the Formula SAE folks. If I hear of a FSAE student who is interested in going, I will let you know in this forum.

Jeanie and I are both going to the NT (reminds me - gotta get signed-up today too!). I'll be in FS, Jeanie in FSL.

If there's a PSU FSAE student that would like to compete in either of those classes - they should call me, we'll talk.

D'OH! Sonova!

OK, so they closed online-registration yesterday. Looks like Friday on-site for us. I'd planned doing it today for about 3-4 weeks now: they didn't have anything (that I could find) on the site about when they were closing online-reg. I figured it would be tomorrow, or midnight tonite. So I was wrong on that one - sue me........

Anyway - such predicaments; I must forge-ahead!
