Some people have been waiting for the 2010 Snell rated helmets to come out to update their helmets.

What I found when I attended the 2010 dealer show, was that most manufacturer's did not invest the money to get the 2010 Snell rating. Even though they had done so in the past. Manufacturers I found with 2010 Snell ratings were Arai & HJC. There is a new European helmet rating and that seems to be what most have decided to go with. Unfortunately is not SCCA approved.

Arai in probably the best helmet made, but also the most expensive ( open face $300.00 and some full face up to $800.00). HJC is a very good helmet in the mid price range of $150.00 - $175.00

What I was able to find was a selection of 2005 Snell Rated helmet that will be legal for 5 years for autocross.

We can get HJC Helmets with a 2010 rating will be $125.00.

I have in-stock, Fulmer 2005 snell rated helmets for $49.99 for SCCA club members.

If you are interested our store Gene's Gallery is located at Chestnut & 65 next to McDonalds. ph. 831-6592

Those are some good deals.

Actually, the M2005 helmets should be good for another decade per the Solo2 rule allowing "all helmets meeting the current or two immediately preceding Snell Foundation standards."

Thank you so much. I recognize that 49.99 is not a sale price, but even better, offered as a favor to your fellow OMR SCCA members. Very nice.
