1998 M3 4 door STU car for sale

Post by m3kerry » Mon Jan 28, 2008 3:10 pm

My 4 door m3 is one of only 3,500 with a 5 speed gearbox imported in 1997 and 1998. The car stock will sell for ~$10,000. I have a little over $6,000 in mods on the car. I am asking:

$14,000obo

Mileage: ~94,000
AM/FM/Cassette/CD
Leather

Mods:
Active Auto Werkes Stage 1 Performance package (http://www.activeautowerke.com/)
AA cold air kit
AA ECU reprogram
AA Cat back exhaust

UUC Front and rear anti-roll bars (sways) (http://www.uucmotorwerks.com/)

AST 4100 coilovers with adjustable ride height (http://www.vorshlag.com/)
Vorshlag camber plates
Rear adjustable control arms
D-Force 17*9 Wheels
12mm front spacers
5mm rear spacers
500lbs springs in the front
650lbs springs in the rear

The car is 95% setup for SCCA STU class (needs race seats). It is a good daily driver. Terry Fair from Vorshlag helped with the equipment setup (Fair was 2nd at nationals in STU 2 years ago).

PM or email me for a link to more pictures and/or questions about the car.

I am co-driving with Asher again this year and will not be racing the m3 so someone needs to buy it. The car is capable of PAXing in the top 5 anywhere that I have ran it in the local area and Asher has won over all a few times driving it. Hate to let it go but just don’t need it anymore.

So I see you and Asher are both selling your cars. What are you guys going to move into?

To anyone looking, I can personally say this is a VERY nice M3. Kerry was kind enough to let me drive it back when it was in BS trim at a divisional event. It's very clean, well maintained, and has the rare Mulberry leather color.

We (asher) has bought a 2007 Shelby GT and are moving F Stock. B Stock just had so many good driver and the RX8 was not a fun daily driver. We talked about a M coupe or a Vett but after nationals and watching the F Stock guys out run the RX8s in the Shelbies we knew we were going to have to buy one. I got a full size suburban to haul it around.

I have never even ran my M3 in STU with the mods that are on the car. I hate it but I just don't need the car anymore. I ran the car in BSP with some used up v700's for about 4 events. I out RAW timed a bunch of good drivers in fast cars. Someone is going to get a great daily driver that will pax high in regional autox events.

The car came out of Dallas, Tx. I am the second owner and have had the car for about 30,000 miles. I have done two inspection 2's to the car, a new clutch, radiator, hoses, belts, all fluids have been changed twice...

I hate to sell sell and my co-driver is asking me not to but it is just sitting in the garage for this year and someone that wants a STU car that is tame enough for daily driving should buy it.

I am coming up this weekend and can bring it and the title to anyone that wants it. Got to go see the in-laws. Come on autoxChris you know you can buy it.

Chris, you had a Bimmer once right, You need another right? And it could be (probably is) as fast as mine and less than half the cost.
Lets see, STU,BSP,SM,XP. I would pick STU. Street Tire classes rock. Dont have to change tires at the event. Drive up wax everyone, leave in the car. Sound fun?

I would LOVE an M3, dont get me wrong... But this year i have a lot getting ready to happen. Going to move out into my own place.(not liking having roomies). And Go to school. Or if im really good, Move to STL.

The only Car Purchase i possibley foresee is an early 80's 320i or is

...or if i somehow come up with $14k, a White M3 4door
