Ozark Mountain Region SCCA

All,

I'm looking for a few good OMR-related pictures - digital or otherwise - and wondering if you can help. Do you have any of these in your collection?

• Meets, awards banquets, people shots
• Club Racing (on track, paddock, crews, etc)
• Rally
• Any pictures from the past 26 years of Ozark Region of the more vintage variety.

Fortunately, we have a good body of contemporary Solo pictures, but those are welcome, too.

Basically, I'd like to put together an introductory web page briefly describing what OMRSCCA is and what we do. The idea is if you had never heard of us or knew anything about SCCA events, what is square one? If someone local punched up omrscca.org, how could we explain what we're all about, and possibly interest them in participating?

A handful of pictures would go a long ways. If you have some pictures you can post, share, or lend, let me know. If you need help getting them uploaded or scanned, we can figure that out, too.

Jim, as always you are welcome to use Natasha's pictures for the club but they are only from the last year and only of autocross events. She has fairly good coverage of 3 events last year at http://www.borismedia.com/SCCA and anyone is welcome to go see the pictures and vids that are posted there.

Here are a couple of examples with a good range of vehicles shown. It seems like every time that I tell someone about Solo that the first thing out of there mouth is "but I don't a fast car". They don't seem to believe me that any vehicle that isn't a top heavy truck/van/suv is ok to use.

If anyone has printed photos they could share, we'll all be meeting for the monthly board meeting this Tuesday.

Hey Jim,

I kinda hate to admit it, but I have pictures of OMR events, autocrosses of course, from as early as 1985 or 86. None are digital at this point. Also, Mark R. has lots of VHS tape of autocrosses starting in about '85, Pittsburg and Springfield. Don't know if that would help.

I've been adding pictures to this OMR pool on flickr as I take them, unfortunately I'm not particularly good and I don't take that many pictures.
