Even though straight liners and track racers are not always the chumiest of pals, a great drag racer was killed yesterday while qualifying his funny car at Englishtown. As the commentary says "you may want to watch the crash or you may want to turn away".
RIP Scott

Man, I have retyped this post 10 times. I just cannot come up with words. Maybe, "He died doing what he loved doing, 300 mph." I dunno.

CRUX[kruks] 1. of perplexing difficulty. 2. the essential or most important point.
DRIVE HARD, DRIVE FAST, DON'T MISS YOUR POINT!!!!

Didn't watch it. Don't want to. Everytime it comes on the news, power off.
Don't get me wrong, crashes are amazing to watch. That is, when the crashie walks away.
I've been in a couple of crazy ones on the track. When you flip that visor down, you know what you are doing.
After getting married, having kids and seeing my best friend dead, I've slowed down a litte. But the Devil of the Race still calls. You can never get it out of you.
Sadly, it got Scott.
