This could be a very dumb question, but I just purchased my 1st set of DOT race tires "Nitto NT01's" and I am wondering if it will damage the tires driving down my gravel driveway with them on? It's approx. 300 ft. long.
Thanks

A lot of paddock space at road courses is crummy asphalt, grass, and gravel. If guys on cantilever slicks can do it at Hallett, a few trips down a gravel drive won't kill a harder R-comp.
I wouldn't do it often, though.

Unless you can grab a covered spot or one of the garage spaces at Hallett, you are going to be paddocking on grass. Not a problem at a small private event, but they get full on a race weekend.
When you come in from a session on race tires or even some high-end street tires, your tires will be hot enough to pick up rubber snakes and gravel, no matter what. A lot of the infield roads and paths are old asphalt with gravel at the edges.
If slicks can stand to be driven around with marbles and small rocks stuck to them, a standard gravel driveway at non-competition temps should be fine.
