November date?

Post by FireshakerX » Thu Oct 22, 2009 10:23 pm

I was just wondering if there is a date set for November to have a autocross event at the ducks stadium?

Thanks,
Clayton

Unfortunately, season's over. If you missed the event at Pitt State last week - you are S.O.L.

Nov. 7 there's a Not a Rally "Traveling Tombstone Trophy" cruise - see the OMR homepage for details.

Probably THE last SOLO of the year is the National Tour at the Arkansas Aeroplex in Blytheville, AR this weekend. They're taking "walkups" until 7:00pm Friday, and the late-registration fee is waived.

Arkansas has an event on the schedule for 11/08 as well, at War Memorial.

In light of a rain-out and a construction-out, we haggled for quite a while at the board meeting on how to finish the regional Solo season.

Ultimately, 10/11 was not rescheduled, 10/18 at Pittsburg remained a non-points event, and no one in attendance was excited about the prospects of adding, organizing, and running a financially successful November event.

Among many factors at play: time, short notice, in-region fairness, points issues, previous November weather/attendance, etc.

Also, the late addition of the Blytheville "Tri-State" National Tour to this weekend and a whole host of competing neighboring events (Hallett, KCRSCCA, etc.) pretty much blocked out the end of October as a fall-back.

The OMR Fall rally and bonfire are on 11/7, though!
