I came across a photo album of 1960s road racing, autocross/rallycross, road rally, and gimmick "gymkhana" from around the South that you all might enjoy.

Note the hog on the fender, as the event was held at Stuttgart Airport in Arkansas, the last active road course in the state.

Photo 1: Absolutely LOVE the use of curbing as the inside-marker of the course. "Cones are EXPENSIVE, man!"
Photo 2: What, no Rumble Seat Wing?
Photo 3: I'd have urged The Wife to go for the can of "Schlitz", personally....
Photo 4: Are BOTH of those Vettes spinning, but in OPPOSITE directions?

Excellent find, Jim. Can anyone - someone with better eyes or a better monitor - read the driver's name on the fender of the black Corvette? And...can one of OMR's Corvette gurus tell me what model year the Black Corvette is?

"McLaughlin" I think. Also looks to me like it either has a split window (63) or that the stripe runs through the middle of the glass. Could you get a big block Vette in 63? Just curious as a few years later the Big Block Vettes were Aprod and the small blocks Bprod and I can clearly read the AP.
Because, I am only a little younger and have only slightly better vision than Ted, I hope someone yet another generation young, will offer their opinion or correction.

It sure looks like it is a split window '63 Vette on my monitor.
