Minutes of the Ozark Mountain Region SCCA BOD, Tuesday, March 3, 2009

 

Present: Curtis Wood, Jeff Moore, Jim Rowland, Sam Henry, Matt Gilson, Bud Weeks, Matt Longpine, and various other OMR members including autocross committee members.

 

Treasurers report: balance--$X.XX

     Motion to accept, Jeff; second Matt G.; passed.

 

Discussion of BOD e-mail sent by Curtis, who got it, who didn't.

 

Discussion of SCCA documents:

     Charter renewal in process.

     Region insurance--no officers currently listed.

     Officers' reports--add Matt L. to list.

     Purchasing list--currently Curtis, Sam, Jeff, Jim, Matt G., and Bud.

 

Autocross sanction request: in process.

 

Solo Committee report:

     March event should be dry run for divisional.

     Trailer will be checked and stocked with supplies.

     Timing equip. will be checked on 3/10.

     Laptop will be checked for correct operation.

     Discussion of backup timing equip:

        Motion to have backup timer from another region available, with free entry at that event for the person who brings it, Jeff; second Curtis; passed.

     Discussion of port-a-pottys at Neosho site.

        Motion to have port-a-pottys, Matt G.; second Jeff, passed.

        Justin will check on cost via his account.

     Autocross committee members will visit site on Sunday.

     Matt G. will order rulebooks.

     Matt L. will get trophy stickers for first event.

     Discussion of members getting exclusive car numbers:

        For OMR members only.

        Must use twice during the year to keep.

     Discussion on date of Oct. autocross:

        Keep indefinite for now.

     Discussion of Ducks lot, now being fixed.

 

Discussion of Supplemental Solo II rules:

     Currently being updated, not yet finalized.

     Ladies championship via PAX.

     Autocrosser of the Year--must be OMR member from start of year.

     Class points and PAX points: 15,12, 10, etc.

     Rookie of the Year, 3 events or fewer.

     Includes site behavior standard.

     Will be e-mailed to BOD for review.

 

Discussion of ways to keep Crowder lot:

     Use their banners at the event, etc.

 

Discussion of having joint events with other regions.
