SCCA claims OMR owes $125 for the June event, but there was a credit of $125 so no action will be taken at this time. Motion to approve report by Jeff, second by Jim. Passed. Secretary's report: motion to waive the reading of the minutes by Jeff, second by Curtis. Passed. Discussion of purchase of autocross supplies at an event. When someone needs to buy flour or some other item for an autocross at the event site, money may be taken out of the cash box with the receipt left in the box and initialed by a board member, solo committee member, or other event official. Motion to limit these expenses to $100 by Curtis, second by Jeff. Passed. Discussion of upcoming BOD changes. Nominations for BOD with be in November, elections in December, with installation of new members in January. Information will be placed on the OMR website. It was announced that Jim Rowland will be a member on the Midiv Solo Committee, and they are working on the Midiv solo schedule. OMR will have the opportunity to bid on hosting a Midiv event in 2010. Discussion of the upcoming Pitt State Autocross. Event Chairman Bud Weeks will attempt to find a pizza provider that will agree to sell on-site and make change and etc. The Formula SAE team is supposed to be present and, because their car is not sorted out, will make demonstration runs only during the lunch break. Event Chairman will make sure the drivers fill out weekend membership forms. The autocross trailer is well stocked with needed supplies. Discussion of whether the Pitt State event will be a points event, or a non-points event. Because of two autocross event cancellations this year, drivers have had less opportunity to score points, but adding a points event at short notice was not deemed to be fair. Motion to make the Pitt State event a non-points event, to reduce the number of events required for a year-end award from 4 to 3, and to reduce the maximum number of events in which a driver may count points from 6 to 5, for 2009 only, by Loren, second by Jeff. Passed. Discussion of hosting an Evo Performance Driving School was brought up by OMR member Stan Bell. There would be 6 students per instructor, and Evo charges $800 per instructor. Typically it would be a 2-day school, phase 1 and phase 2. OMR would have to provide event insurance and transportation for the instructors. Stan will research it further and put together a proposed budget. Discussion of having a Street Survivor School for Crowder College. No action taken. Motion to adjourn by Loren, second by Curtis. Passed. Submitted by Bud Weeks, OMR Secretary.
