Minutes of the Ozark Mountain Region SCCA, Dec. 3, 2013. Members present, RE Curtis Wood, Sam Henry, Matt Longpine, Tim Datema, Justin Huffman, Jeff Moore, and Bud Weeks, with 8 other OMR members present. Call to order: Curtis. Secretary's report: motion to waive the reading of the minutes by Justin, second by Jeff. Passed. Treasurer's report: expenses yet to be paid for business cards, port-a-potty for the Street Survival School, and renewal of tags for the trailer. Motion to accept the report by Matt, second by Justin. Passed. Election ballots have not yet been sent out so therefore the counting of the ballots will be done next BOD meeting. Discussion of display board for OMR autocrosses and rallycrosses. Matt has been researching issue and finds that our software will display up to 10 cars staged and the results of the last 10 cars run. Matt has a monitor and will give the concept a trial at OMR's first 2014 event. Corinne Datema, newborn, was introduced to the membership. What a cutie! Rallycross report: the last rallycross made exactly $1 when all the expenses were paid. Curtis suggested that Stan Bell should continue to be rallycross chairman although Stan will need help with trailer transport in the coming year. Jim Rowland has proposed, via e-mail, that OMR and St. Louis Region should put on a joint rallycross somewhere about halfway between St. Louis and Springfield. The consensus of the region was that it should be done and Jim will contact St. Louis Region to plan for an event. Solo report: Al Hermans, Midiv Solo Chair, has asked OMR to put on a Midiv Solo event in 2014. Motion to submit a proposal for a Midiv event by Justin, second by Sam. Passed. Solo Safety Steward training discussion: Justin to check if a training session could be included in the Midiv Convention which will be held in Springfield in the spring. Discussion of whether OMR has enough cones. It was concluded that we have enough. Discussion of class award stickers. OMR has used the same trophies and the same stickers as awards for a number of years. There was much discussion of using some other kind or award or of updating the stickers which use the OMR logo. It was decided that there will be a design competition for a new sticker to be used as awards for autocrosses and rallycrosses. The reward will be a free entry to a OMR event and Justin will post the criteria. Awards banquet will be held on Jan. 25. Matt will work on menu and etc. Sam will contact SafeRacer for door prizes and drawing items. Motion for Sam to spend up to $500 for these items at SafeRacer by Curtis, second by Justin. Passed. Discussion of solo and rallycross schedules for 2014. The following is OMR's tentative schedule: Solo---March 30 April 20 May 4, with a novice school the day before, May 3 June 29 July 13 Aug. 24 Sept. 14 Oct. 19 A make-up event could be scheduled in Nov. Also, the Midiv schedule may cause some adjusting of the OMR schedule. Rallycross---April 13 May 18 June 22 Aug. 10 Motion to accept the above tentative schedule by Curtis, second by Sam. Passed. Discussion of year-end class awards: many different ideas were kicked around. Motion for OMR to buy tumblers that could possibly be customized for each winner by Curtis, second by Matt. Passed.
