Minutes of the Ozark Mountain Region SCCA BOD meeting from April 1, 2014. Members present: RE Tim Datema, Jeff Moore, Justin Huffman, Sam Henry, Bud Weeks, Matt Longpine, plus 9 nine OMR members and guests. Call to order: Tim. Secretary's report: motion to waive the reading of the minutes by Justin, second by Matt. Passed. Treasurer's report: a number of bills not yet paid including sanction fee, lot fee, equipment, etc. Motion to accept by Matt, second by Bud. Passed. Rallycross report: next rallycross will be at Salem, MO, on April 13. Jim Rowland is organizing and will carry equipment in his truck. Club has 6 good fire extinguishers but will need to recharge several to have extras on hand. Discussion of problem with rallycross airhose timer that is not reliable. Matt will check with Farmtech for solution. St. Louis Region will provide timers for the next event. Motion to provide port-a-potty for next event by Matt, second by Tim. Passed. Autocross report: several things for are needed for the next event and Sam will order wrist bands, 50 new cones, and a 2014 Solo rulebook. Discussion of solo school planned for May which is planned for the Saturday before the May event at Crowder College. Several members volunteered to be instructors and Tim will check with Scott Creech. Discussion of autocross trophies: several ideas were tossed around with no one idea coming out on top. Jeff will act as clearinghouse for ideas. Matt will set up monitor next event so that competitors can check their times without bothering timing people in trailer. Motion to spend up to $350 for autocross trophies by Tim, second by Matt. Passed. Discussion of timing in general for autocross and rallycross. The laptop that is used is dying a horrible death....OK, it just has a chronic disease....but will need to be replaced to be reliable. Brightness is an issue as well as needing a serial port, unless another cable arrangement can be used. Matt will also discuss with FarmTech. No other action taken. Midiv Solo plans: Justin is using a planning tool from Al Hermans and will plan for 150 meals and will get a bid from Crowder College for the banquet. Discussion of door prizes and giveaways.
