Minutes of the Ozark Mountain Region SCCA Board of Directors meeting of Jan. 7, 2013.  Members present: RE Curtis Wood, Justin Huffman, Matt Longpine, Bud Weeks, Tim Datema, Jeff Moore, and Sam Henry, plus 12 other OMR members and guests.
 
Call to order: Curtis.  Suggested agenda as follows: old business of old BOD, deciding awards for banquet, banquet plans, installation of new BOD, and usual reports.
 
Secretary's report: motion to waive the reading of the minutes by Jeff, second by Tim.  Passed.
 
Treasurer's report: with some money owed to Curtis to reimburse him for rally party expenses.
Motion to accept report by Jeff, second by Curtis.  Passed.
 
Election of new BOD members: Tim Datema, Matt Longpine, and Justin Huffman are carry-over members with Sam Henry, Jeff Moore, Bud Weeks, and Curtis Wood standing for election.  The results of the election are that Sam, Jeff, Bud, and Curtis are reelected for two-year terms.
 
Awards to be given at the awards banquet are: the Dave Pistole Sportsmanship Award, the Last of the Great Ones Award, the JD Rice Award, the Scroo-up of the Year Award, the Club Racer of the Year Award, the Crew Chief of the Year Award, the Club Race Rookie of the Year Award, Midiv Solo Class Awards, OMR Solo Class Winner and Rallycross Class Winner Trophies, the Autocrosser of the Year Award, and the Rallycross All-star Award.  The winners, as can be determined at this time, are as follows:
 
Dave Pistole Sportsmanship Award--Scott Woosley
Last of the Great Ones Award--Matt Longpine
JD Rice Award--to be determined by RE, Curtis Wood, BOD encouraged to send suggestions
Scroo-up of the Year Award--to be determined by Ted Wells, Blat Editor
Club Racer of the Year--to be determined by points
Crew Chief of the Year Award--Derek Grisham
Roadracer Rookie of the Year Award--Brad Beottler
Midiv Solo awards--Justin to check with Midiv on any OMR recipients
OMR Solo and Rallycross Class Awards--Matt will calculate
OMR Autocrosser of the Year Award--Sam Henry, Bud to doublecheck points
Rallycross Allstar Award--it was decided to not award for 2013
OMR Solo Rookie of the Year Award--Matt to check if Zachary Peters is a rookie.
 
RE Curtis had to leave and meeting now chaired by Assist. RE Tim.
 
Banquet plans: Awards banquet will be on Jan. 25 at Springfield Elks Club with social hour at 5 PM and dinner served at 6:30 PM.
Motion to add $200 additional for prizes, with a total of $600 for door prizes by Jeff, second by Tim.  Passed.
Motion to approve menu and $15 cost per person by Jeff, second by Justin.  Passed.
 
Installation of new BOD officers: nominations offered and voting by BOD members.

Solo report: Justin will have competition for new logo ready by March meeting with designs to be submitted by membership.  Discussion of whether to purchase more cones with no decision made.  Discussion of radios used for solo and rallycross events with consensus that we need newer radios.
Motion to spend up to $200 to purchase 8 new radios by Tim, second by Justin.  Passed.  Jeff will place order.
