Event 4 question
Can you tell me something about the location and event pad? What is the schedule on event day? I would love to come down from KC for a visit.

Bob, glad to here that you might make it down, we met at the Test and Tune at MCC. Event #4 on June 21st will be at the Ducks Stadium, which is an asphalt lot that wraps around the baseball stadium and has elevation changes. There have been some repairs recently made so there are some transitions and varying grip levels on those patches as we found out this last weekend.
Check out the Event Information page for map and scheduled times, but here are the important times:
8:00am - Registration opens
10:00am - Registration closes
10:15am - Drivers meeting
10:30am - Timed runs begin
We have pizza/soda catered ($2 slice/$1 soda) during the 30min lunch break so we can get through lunch quickly. One other difference is that our Region requires that you tech before you register and tech closes @ 10am and registration usually minutes later.
I hope this helps and if you would like to see a video of the lot from this last weekends event check out the link from this post.

Bob, OMR uses two sites.
Our June, August, and October events will be at Ducks Stadium in Ozark, just South of Springfield. It's a medium-sized asphalt lot shaped like an "L." A couple of top-10 PAX drives on video from our event there yesterday:

I've been doing most of our courses for a while, and I aim for medium-speed, car-independent, high-flow courses with line choice. Ducks has some rough spots where the asphalt is breaking up, but I try to design around as best I can, and people seem to be having fun.
Our other site is a 500'x1000' trucking school pad at Crowder College in Neosho, MO. It's flat and in excellent condition. You'll see it at the Midwest divisional July 11-12, and then again for a regional event in September.
Hope you get to visit both sites.
