Schedule question
I noticed that there is now an October 18th event scheduled for Pittsburg, KS.
Is the October 11th event for Ozark still on the schedule?

Wow, word travels fast.
The normal points event on October 11 event is still on for Ducks Stadium.
As of the board meeting last week, Bud was arranging the final approvals for a special non-season autocross at Pitt State University in Pittsburg, KS, on October 18th. I haven't heard from him in the last few days, so I won't speak to it being officially official. The event is intended to benefit the Pitt State SAE program, and give their formula car program and local students a chance to get some seat time and experience a SCCA Solo2 event. It would be a non-points event hosted by OMRSCCA with organizational support by the SAE students, open to any participants meeting the same minimum requirements as any of our other autocrosses.
I have not visited the site, but Bud has shown overhead views. I believe it is roughly 400x300', maybe a little smaller, with a separate lot for paddock. We would be targeting an entry cap of around 75, with exceptions given to Pitt student walk-ups. So far, so good. I plan to be there. I haven't seen an official posting on the OMR site, so I will let Bud or someone else mint it as "official."

JimR is correct on both counts:Ironhead wrote:It (10/18 ) was listed in "The Blat" I received today in the mail.
10/11 was not listed there however.
-- 10/11 OMR points event @ the Ducks is still on (in fact I drove by there the other day and they were making some repairs, lets hope they get finished)
-- 10/18 PITT STATE AUTOCROSS is 100% official as of today. This is not an OMR points event and is being held in conjunction with the PITTSBURG STATE UNIVERSITY SOCIETY OF AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERS.
Please check out the http://www.omrscca.org home page for all of the new announcements.

Okay, game on for both dates.
We didn't really talk up the October 11th event at the board meeting because it will run like our usual events at Ducks - nothing unfamiliar there. Ted might have gleaned from the meeting's minutes that we were skipping it in favor of the October 18th event because we discussed the Pitt State event at length.
Maybe we can send an e-mail or mini-mini-Blat postcard reminding everyone of the October 11 event.

I just wanted to make sure since it appears unlikely that I'll be able to make the 10/11 event.
I'm hoping to have the car back together by the 10/18 event. (I'm taking it apart (again) after this weekend for some more *ahem* upgrades.
