The latest issue of
SportsCar - April 2013 - is the "all about the club" issue with a lot of content geared towards new members and discovering other programs for existing members. This is a great tool for potential members. Seeing cars in action locally gets a gearhead excited, but a slickly produced magazine to take home gives the whole picture of what someone can do.
If you don't keep your issues, consider bringing this one to the next RallyCross or Solo so that we can put them in them in the hands of people who are interested in our sport. If you do want to keep your issue, maybe take it to work and let people see it at your desk or breakroom.
You may also have some extra SCCA decals sitting around, as we all get a couple every year with renewal. Bring those to events, as well. A free club sticker is another great way to extend a welcome to new entrants.
Put them next to your helmet so you don't forget them.

...in the same issue, doug largent appears on page 58, small pic below the sidebar. or at least 2/3 of doug's car, and almost all of doug's head.
we get a lot of press down here in the ozarks.
66 mustang, 72 124 fiat FProduction, 91 miata ES/STS, 95 mustang SM, 97 F150, 99 Neon SF (yes!), 00 911 C4 AS, 05 CLK500, 05 triumph speed four, 06 F250, 07 ducati 1098, 13 330i, & a few cows. 93 miata ES now in Mr France's capable hands, long may she autox.

I put half a dozen SCCA decals and two copies of the April issue in the trailer on Sunday. The region can order copies of the magazine if our crowd sourced issues run out, but there is a cost for that.
I also made some handouts for the waiver station. One is for novices explaining what to do throughout the day, and the other is for members of the general public explaining what the sport is about (and safety).
Ideally, at every "official" point of contact we can be putting something in the hands of someone new and getting them engaged.
